okay and just so you know $7 is average pay for babysitting even though most teens charge around $5 
anyway is there anything else i’m missing? I plan to print it on fluorescent paper like sun yellow, hot pink or lime green I also have used cool word print that is easy to read but gets the readers attention and i’ll be putting the flyers in mailboxes in the neighborhood not on telephone posts. anymore ideas or comments would be great.

This is a great start! This is exactly what I did in my neighborhood to get started in the babysitting business.
Here are a few suggestions I have…
- Don’t be wishy washy with what you charge. Pick an hour amount you are comfterable with and then add that it can be changed due to number of children. That’s the only thing that should affect your hourly cost.
- Don’t put you address. However, if you are just passing these out to ppl of your neighborhood, mention you’ve lived in “Glen Oaks Neighborhood” for “10″ years and have gotten to know the ppl and area well. This way, clients will know you aren’t some random kid from a far away city. They can trust you more.
- Right now is a great time to put out your flyer because the school year is ending and summer is approaching. Mention on your flyer that you are able to set up a summer babysitting schedule if needed, or they can just call for a night out!
- List any restrictions, like on school nights if you have to be home by 11pm.
- Don’t put too many pictures or distracting images on the flyer. State the info. in a professional manor and add some interesting color schemes. That’s all you need.
- List your age as well! This is a very crucial part in picking a babysitter because they want to know if you are capable or not. Also list experience.
- It helps if you add your school as well as any classes you’ve taken (CPR) that further qualify you.
